You need finance to get your business idea off the ground, which means you have to sell the idea to one or more investors.


Pitching for business funding

       1. Be specific

It is important to know exactly which products or services you are planning to develop, and who will be buying them.

      2. Be knowledgeable

Know the industry, and research enough to speak knowledgably about your product

      3. Dress equal to your audience

When approaching funders or investors, it often helps with your confidence to look the part of a successful business person

      4. Be clear and concise

Make sure that you communicate your intentions and your needs in no uncertain terms

       5. Listen to the questions asked, and answer them clearly

Funders may ask questions that do not seem to make immediate sense. Try and answer them as realistically and honestly as possible

       6. Get your numbers right

Make sure that you know exactly what you will need in terms of funding, and that you are able to supply income forecasts, and research
